The private initiative of the United States will invest up to 40 billion dollars in Mexico during the next two years. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed this amount after a working breakfast with businessmen from the CEO Dialogue US-Mexico at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington.
On his Twitter account, the president reported that the topics discussed were economic cooperation, investment, sovereignty and progress with justice. At the same time, the Secretary of Foreign Relations, Marcelo Ebrard, explained that the private initiative also reported on its progress in its projects.
In addition, he made proposals for investments, services, politics, trade facilitation, energy and climate change.
However, the director of Pemex, Octavio Romero Oropeza , acknowledged that businessmen expressed some doubts and requests in the energy sector to generate certainty in the sector.
