The Ukrainian army has already shot down a hundred Russian planes since the invasion of their country began, according to the spokesman for the Air Force Command, Yurii Ihnat, quoted by the Ukrinform agency.
According to this balance, on March 22, 2022, the Ukrainian forces destroyed six enemy aircraft, a helicopter, five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and five missiles, which brings to one hundred the number of enemy aircraft shot down since last March 24. February began the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
According to Ihnat, the Ukrainian army yesterday caused “significant losses to the enemy in the air”, hitting ground targets, military vehicles and manpower in groups” and that, of the missiles shot down, two of them were due to aircraft fire and another for a man-portable air defense system.
In addition, according to Ihnat, the anti-aircraft missile forces destroyed 11 enemy air targets: five planes, one helicopter, four unmanned aerial vehicles and one cruise missile.
