It was a little more complicated than expected, but the European adventure of Olympique de Marseille continues . Winners 2-1 of FC Basel for the second time in a week, the Phocaeans qualified last night for the quarter-finals of this first edition of the Europa League Conference. Faced with the other remaining clubs, OM still have all their chances in this competition.

The French club, the last French representative in C4 after the elimination of Stade Rennais, avoided the best opponents like Leicester or Roma, to inherit PAOK Salonika. The draw has decided so , it is OM who will receive the Vélodrome in the first leg on April 7, to play the return match in Greece a week later on April 14.

Longoria is wary of PAOK

Confidence reigns in the ranks of Olympians but mistrust is in order, as Pablo Longoria assures in a press release posted on the club’s website . “It is always difficult to meet a Greek club. PAOK are a very strong team that have caused problems for all their opponents. A team which for example eliminated Midtjylland, a competitive club on the European level , recalls the president, who warns his troops.
