Resident Evil Village: How is the Progress so far?

If you are a fan of Survival-Horror Video Games, there is no way you don’t know about Resident Evil. Launched in 1996, it has continuously impressed all the Gamers around the World.

Although the Graphics in older times were not that realistic, but today with the unreal 3D engine and next-gen technology, games have almost evolved to a level where their graphics look absolutely like real-life.

And taking benefit of such technology, Capcom, the developer and publisher of Resident Evil has taken a giant leap and is about to present its next creation from the Resident Evil Series: Resident Evil Village (Or simply Resident Evil 8).

Resident Evil Village is the dream of every Horror-Survival Video Game fan, afterall that’s what the developer Capcom says.

After teasing with posters and announcements for so long, Capcom has finally given a concrete release date for the game, which is May 7 of 2021.

And not just that, Capcom has also given us some details about Map and characters besides Lady Dimitrescu.

We all know what kind of fantasies Lady Dimitrescu created in Gamers when she was first unveiled by Capcom last month, we saw how internet was flooded by cosplays of Lady Dimitrescu, some scary and some just straight ridiculous.

But now, Capcom has given us some more surprises in the form of Map and the character of Mother Miranda. Yes, if you don’t already know, Capcom has unveiled the new character of Resident Evil Village- Mother Miranda.

Although not much has been revealed about this new character, but according to what we know so far, she is a very much revered character of Resident Evil Village. The villagers worship her and treat her as a sacred deity. She also seems like a friend of Lady Dimitrescu as Lady Dimitrescu can be seen talking to her on the Phone in the game promo.

And the map we were talking about, Capcom has released some further details about the succeeding parts of the Map after Dimitrescu Castle (where Lady Dimitrescu lives). So as per Capcom, besides Dimitrescu Castle, there will be windmills, a factory, and a reservoir.

The entire gameplay will revolve around a Village, but don’t get saddened, the village is quite big and you will be meeting lots of surprises like a Giant monster in the Reservoir part of the village. So everything will keep you glued to your controllers.

And another thing, Snow will play a vital role in the game, the main Village of the game will remain covered in Snow.

As the Director of Resident Village, Morimasa Sato, said in an interview, when he was in Europe with his team for game-related research works, he saw a scenic view where everything was covered with snow, hence he got inspired and put that idea into action.

So you can expect some really cool snow storms throughout the gameplay.

Now coming back to the characters, Besides Lady Dimitrescu and Mother Miranda, Ethan Winters will again be the main character of the Game (like in Resident Evil 7), and his main purpose in Resident Evil Village will be to rescue his daughter Rosemary.
