A man in New York City was arrested Saturday and charged with “threatening” customers at a McDonald’s, including using a small axe, police said.
According to local media reports, Michael Palacios, 31, of Latino origin, showed little tolerance for frustration when he was rejected by a woman and became violent, destroying part of a McDonald’s in Bajo with an ax. Manhattan.
The subject was confronted by other men but then they preferred to step aside when Palacios took an ax out of his suitcase and began to smash tables and glass.
A video was released showing two minutes of the incident between the man and several customers. The video, with more than 26 million views, showed a fight before Palacios’ wrath, as well as the destruction of property.
The man in the video appears to remove his backpack and pull out what appears to be a small axe. He breaks the end of a table and breaks a glass barrier. He then approaches several customers, but doesn’t seem to inflict any damage on anyone.
At the end of the video, after he hits a client and approaches several others with the axe, the man appears to leave with his bicycle, although he was arrested on the streets of the place.
Michael Palacios was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, three counts of threats and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

According to the version in The New York Post, the discussion began with a girl, “then the young woman rejected him… She did not want to talk to him. He kept getting closer to her… that’s when the guys she was with stepped in and started arguing.”
Meanwhile, the company also issued its position, “The safety of our customers and crew is always our top priority,” McDonald’s restaurant owner and operator Paul Hendel said in a statement.
“We are shocked by these acts of violence committed in our restaurant and we are fully cooperating with the authorities in their investigation,” he said.
