Morgan Lee Richardson, a former Walt Disney Imagineer, shared a preview of some details of a new event space at Disney California Adventure that recently opened for guests.
Richardson was the artistic director of the project and sculpted the new rock. The event space also includes a wooden gate with the acronym “BVW.” Can you guess what this means? We suppose Bodega Buena Vista.
This portion of DCA recently reopened to Guests. It’s a great flexible event space. I Art directed and sculpted all of the new rockwork. It ended up being one of my favorite parts of the land. Especially this tucked away door. I’ll let you figure out what the acronym stands for. pic.twitter.com/Hz8oW8LHxp

The event space is adjacent to Buena Vista Street and currently accommodates snack carts.
However, much of the rock created by Richardson is visible throughout the space.
Richardson also shared that some of the rock work was left over from It’s Tough To Be A Bug!, which closed at Disney California Adventure in 2018.
