Marvel suspends production of Blade while looking for a new director

Must Read

Are you excited for the premiere of Blade? We have bad news for you. It turns out that the production of the film was suspended because it was left without a director and Marvel has not yet found the perfect person to take the reins of the project.

A couple of weeks ago it was confirmed that Bassim Tariq would step down as director of Blade. This situation caused a headache for Marvel, since they had to suspend all activities related to its production.

In case you didn’t know, the movie starring Oscar winner Mahershala Ali was slowly making headway. In fact, there were already production activities in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, where filming was to begin in November.

According to different sources, it is very important for Marvel that Blade is a successful film, which is why they are taking their time. This is why the decision on who will be the new director has taken so long and was not immediate as many expected.

Fortunately, this decision won’t put Blade on hiatus for long. We say this since he expects the production of the film to be resumed in early 2023 with a new director.

Of course, it is very likely that this situation results in a delay for Blade. Let’s remember that the tape was scheduled to debut on November 3, 2023 and being at least 3 months late will surely cause some change in this plan.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that the start of Blade production has been hindered. After all, the tape was rewritten several times, which caused the project to be suspended and picked up more than a couple of times.
