If you are organizing a meeting with a theme of La Casa del Dragón, there are three special wines for the occasion that Vintage Wine Estates and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have launched
Vintage Wine Estates and Warner Bros. Consumer Products are introducing three official “House of the Dragon” wines in honor of the Game of Thrones prequel, which opens on Sunday, August 21.
The Official Wine Store notes that the House of the Dragon wine collection includes the king of wine varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, the oenological art of a red blend, and a seductive Pinot Noir.
The wines are created and bottled by Seven Kingdoms Cellars, a division of Vintage Wine Estates. The dark bottle labels have a dramatic style, with three-headed dragons wrapped in a round design.
The 2021 Oregon Pinot Noir is described as enticing on the nose with aromas that include tart red cherry and cranberry, followed by subtle earthy and salty notes.
The 2019 California Cabernet Sauvignon is described as dense with cherry tobacco and vanilla cream aromas and a long, enveloping finish in the mouth with just a hint of sweetness.
The 2020 red blend is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Verdot, Malbec and Zinfandel. It is “velvety and dark in color with aromas of cocoa, blueberry and black currant. Rich maple, dark red fruit, toffee, and creamy caramel coat the palate and add to the balanced, juicy mouthfeel. Finish with layers of dark berries and brown.”
The wines are ideal for a House of the Dragon themed gathering or simply to be enjoyed in the quiet of your bed or sofa while watching the series.
House of Dragon is set some 200 years before Game of Thrones, it tells the story of House Targaryen. One more story about the fight to determine who will occupy the Iron Throne.
House of Dragon wines are available in 750-milliliter bottles and can be purchased for $20 each. Purchase is made directly online from the House of the Dragon merchandise website at http://www.houseofthedragonwines.com.
