How to access the Cercedilla natural pool without a car

They are one of the most demanded pools because they are natural and because of how cold they are, so parking nearby becomes a problem. As of July 1, that will no longer be a problem.

The Berceas pools are one of the best solutions to face the stifling heat of Madrid. Located in Cercedilla , it is a park with great views of the mountain. In addition, the water comes from streams in the area, although to adapt it to the bathroom it receives treatment. Attached to the pools is Amazonia, a playground with zip lines for the whole family.

The complex was built 42 years ago, among pine trees, at 1,400 meters, where the shade and altitude of the Fuenfría Valley prevent the water from heating up. In the area we find picnic areas, changing rooms, a bar, a large lawn where you can sunbathe and two large swimming pools surrounded by Scots pine trees.

Few bathers dare to take a dip because the water is really cold . These pools are usually open from June 15 to September 15, since only in the height of summer does the water thermometer approach 20 or 21 degrees, although there are days when the water drops considerably below that figure.

The ticket price is €6 per adult (from 14 to 64 years old, both inclusive) on weekdays and €7 on weekends and holidays. For children and people over 65 there is a single fee of €4.

One of the biggest complications to access the site is parking. From July 1, you can leave your car in the town and get on and off on some free buses that will be available to everyone.
