Borderlands developer, Gearbox, has as many as nine AAA games in development. This according to the parent company Embracer Groupwho shared the news in its recent quarterly tax briefing.
“Gearbox continues to scale the organization to fulfill its ambitious growth plan and there are currently nine AAA games in development.”, the report reads.
Embracer’s claim is actually not very clear. For example, the company hasn’t specified whether these nine games also include those from the Gearbox publishing label, although that may actually be the case.
Under Gearbox Publishing, there are Blackbird Interactive’s Homeworld 3 and Heart Machine’s Hyper Light Breaker, both of which are already officially unveiled but aren’t necessarily AAA rated.
