Since opening his brand new account on TikTok, which has amassed some 15 million followers in just two weeks and following his court victory against his ex-wife Amber Heard, actor Johnny Depp has become a phenomenon of social networks and now is beginning to pay the consequences of such a dynamic.
So much so, that the Hollywood star has now resorted to his Instagram account to alert his fans, and Internet users in general, of the proliferation of false accounts that use his name and image, or which he claims belong to to his closest collaborators, in order to capitalize on his success and high media profile.
To leave no room for doubt, the interpreter has published a list with the names of all his official accounts: “I have been informed that there are false accounts pretending to be me or people who work with me. I do not have any parallel or private profile in any of those platforms. These are the only accounts that I or my team manage to provide updates and communicate with you.”
