Car crashes into Apple store in Massachusetts leaving one dead and 16 injured

The Plymouth County Prosecutor, Tim Cruz, reported at a press conference that the vehicle crashed for reasons that are still unknown against a shop window of the establishment and that several people were killed.

One man was killed and 16 other people were injured Monday afternoon after an SUV crashed into an Apple store in Hingham, Massachusetts, according to local authorities.

The Plymouth County Prosecutor, Tim Cruz, reported at a press conference that the vehicle crashed for reasons that are still unknown against a shop window of the establishment and that it took several people ahead.

It was learned that among the injured, there were people who were inside and outside the store. At the moment the speed at which the vehicle was traveling and the identity of its driver are unknown.

For its part, the local Fire Department reported that it had treated “several injured and people trapped” in the premises.

Apple explained that due to these events, its store on Derby Street, in Hingham, will be closed from today until Friday.
