Afghanistan, press sources: the Taliban dissolve the Parliament and the Security Council

The Taliban have dissolved at least five public institutions in Afghanistan, including the two houses of the Parliament in Kabul and the National Security Council. According to the press agency “Khaama Press”, According to which this decision was taken by the Taliban leader Hibatullah Akhundzada in a decree presented yesterday and countersigned by the interim prime minister Mohammad Hassan Akhund.

According to the Afghan newspaper, the other institutions that have ceased operations under the decree are the High Council for National Reconciliation, the Independent Human Rights Commission of Afghanistan and the Independent Commission for Supervision of the Implementation of the Constitution.
